Over the last four years, we have replaced a majority of our diesel school buses with ones that are propane powered. Propane burns cleaner than gasoline or diesel, reducing greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 25 percent and carbon dioxide emissions by 60 percent, as well as reducing emissions of other air pollutants. Propane buses are cheaper to operate and maintain, and are more reliable in cold weather. A propane powered bus will be providing safe, reliable transportation on all of our main bus routes this upcoming school year.
