I am sharing a thank you update from Faith and Steve Gray who spearheaded this year's IB After Prom. I want to thank the Gray's, and the countless parents, who helped make IB After Prom a sucessful and safe experience for IBHS students.
Here is the update from Faith Gray:
Good Afternoon,
As we wrap up this year's IB After Prom, we want to thank those that came together to make it possible! There are truly too many individuals to name and we would likely miss one or two people, so we are sharing our 'thank you' in more general terms:
- We had so many activities and giveaways for attendees because so many individuals gave donations and funds!
- We were organized because people shared from their experiences and volunteered to lead different parts!
- Planning and execution of the event was easy because the school was super helpful from beginning to end!
- It all went so smoothly for set up and chaperoning because we had an ARMY of volunteers that made it happen…injecting joy and laughter all the way through the night!
- The volunteers that rolled in at 6 am Sunday morning to tear down (Dr. Alvey and three others) had fresh legs and jumped right in, taking out all the trash, taking down the decorations, sweeping floors, and helping organize the leftovers for donation. Their arrival was welcome by the all-nighters (running on fumes)!
- Lastly, we want to publicly thank the companies that gave to our event to our IB After Prom Attendees! Please make sure to frequent these companies and let them know how much their donation meant to the IB event!
If we missed any effort or group, we apologize!! There were a lot of moving parts but it was a joy to see it all come together!
