On Monday, Mrs. Herrmann's second graders took a trip to the HS library to read with Ms. Gresham's U.S. Issues seniors. Last semester, these seniors wrote CF Industries grant proposals, and one of the proposals that was funded was an environmental bookmobile for the elementary school. This was a great opportunity to take advantage of our K-12 campus; Illini Bluffs is lucky to be able to experience learning together, across grade levels.

IBHS Cheerleaders are working with IBES students to prepare for Little Cheerleader night on Saturday Feb. 15th at 5pm.

IB Stakeholders, Undoubtedly, you have seen media coverage on the Coronavirus. A meeting was recently held with Jason Marks, Director of Emergency Management and Preparedness, from the Peoria City/County Health Department, the Peoria County Regional Office of Education, and superintendents from Peoria County. The purpose of the meeting was to educate the superintendents about this virus and to answer any questions. At this point in time, there are no known cases of Coronavirus in Central Illinois. If it appears in our schools, it will be handled like any other virus has been handled in the past. This includes educating our students on the importance of hand-washing, staying at home when exhibiting signs or symptoms, and appropriate cleaning practices within school. NOTICE OF BOARD MEETING CHANGE: The Illini Bluffs CUSD #327 school board meeting originally scheduled for Tuesday, February 18, 2020 has been rescheduled for Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. in the Illini Bluffs High School Library.

Registration cost is $75. The league will practice mostly on Thursday evenings from 6:00-7:30 PM and will play games on Saturday mornings

Today’s (1/18/2020) ICAC Boys Basketball Tournament Games have been cancelled due to weather conditions. They have been rescheduled to Tuesday (1/21/2020).

We will be having PTO movie night tonight for K-2 student who turned in their permission slips. It will be over at 5:15.

It’s Kindergarten Round-Up Time! When: Saturday, February 29th, 9am-12pm Where: IBES Commons Bring: Your Child and their certified Birth Certificate Screening times will take 20-30 minutes. If your child will be 5 years or older by Sept 1st, 2020 they are eligible to start Kindergarten. Bright Futures kids already enrolled at IB do not need to attend. They will be screened at school.
